Poem for her 850

Dear Readers,

Thoughts

Soft tugs on those belt loops
Come here babe, let us dance
The rug is warm from the fire
The bed sheets cool to the touch
Off to slumber land later
Deal those cards babe
We have a game to play
Look a hand full of spades
You will win again
The tea is chia blend
Dark and sweet and yummy you say
Butter on a graham cracker
Soft music to tap the toes with
One more year drifting by
The logs smell of apple and cherries
Draw your hands on this napkin for later
Scrap book pages with the pressed flowers
Snap a photo of your smile
Video clip with your giggles
Sounds of the night flowing by

Happy Birthday Babe,

Charles.

Poem for her 849

Dear Readers,

Spring Blooms

The winter months still here
The garden catalogs cover the deck
Over by the steps the table has trees
All the trees we want new this year
The little sticks lay in patterns
We built a small yard with plans
Plantings and blooms and things
Where the new rock garden might go
There might be a pond over here
Spring blooms in the color of her face
Glad plannings and happy smiles
Over there the new bulbs
Planted last fall, just now green
The ones in the catalogs saying pick me
We are going to stop for now
Have a card game
Sip some hot tea
Sample the cheese we got in the mail

Happy Birthday Babe,

Charles.

Poem for her 848

Dear Readers,

Spring time cards

The flower sticks by rows of green
Cards dusted on the window sill
Thin strips of paper on the table
...making some art project
The deck of cards on the deck table
Notepad handy with etchings of figures
There is a spring time motif on a canvas
Bunch of envelopes with names on them
Cards we are making up for a town event
Thoughts of spring before this one
When mountains got dusted with snow
Leaves just now poking out
From branches still with white on them
Is it spring yet we wonder as the day gleams
Mint tea brews on the stove
Filling the air with spring
Even if the snows might drift back
Before the cards get sent

Happy Birthday Babe,

Charles.

Poem for her 847

Dear Readers,

Tuesday

There is that day
Long ago
Java the update date
When coffee was made
The hotel room blue bag
Full cafe full blue
Water hot
The brew set
Yummy smell
There is full tilt smell
Yummy
Yummy the pour
Intense the thought
Thought full
There
The full cup
Tilted back
There
There taste
Coffee
Tuesday
The full
Tuesday
Taste the coffee
Tuesday
It is July

Happy Birthday Babe

Charles.

Poem for her 846

Dear Readers,

Retrospective

The candy striped shirt filled with You
The songs of your giggles, laughs, sighs
The far away mirror with reflective stills
The day is dark out lit with your joy
The songs your sounds sing music to me
There crisp the sweet touch of lips
Heard on the video clip touch my mind
Ears kissed on smooches heard in mind's eye
So soft the skin of fingers as they trace
Soft sounds of the car door over there
The socks on feet not touching floor
Songs heard on the radio as you drive
There that note of singer to sway to
The kiss of thought as we nite nite
Your sounds fill my soul with yours
Slow drip of days or fast car rides
The snow on your white sweater melting me

Happy Birthday Babe,

Charles.
