Poem for her 924

That Racket

The court was hard to build

We'd been building it for a while

It was in the newest section of the cabin's homestead

The Hill

We had this hill side on the slope toward the valley

The bottom of the hollow crag rocks many

We didn't treed down there often

It was rather a rough hike/climb down

Even for us mountain goats

We decided to make an earth shelter area

The racket ball court is an enclosed space after all

So there was that theme as well

On the stroke of the chime

Place your dime

The time will be

Happy Birthday Babe,

Charles.

Poem for her 923

Tee Time

Miniature golf and disc golf happened today

An old friend of ours had set up some links

Over there in the valley

By one of our favorite river cave systems

Lost in the forest floor nearby

Were little villages of gnome folk

The design He and his wife and family were always working on

So for a day trip over yonder

We had a long dance down memory lane

Not far from the far away yonder day racer track for cars

Happy Birthday Babe,

Charles.

Poem for her 922

 Long Trip

She was alone, well the Lord was with her

Traveling at night not her best time frame

Going somewhere, or coming back

I knew she'd need rest soon

Yet could not check

The Lord said to me, it's okay

The Lord said to her, it's okay

Happy Birthday Babe,

Charles.

Poem for her 921

Dew

Fall dew almost frost

Fallen in the grass outside the rental cabin

I had to get a coat

You were already a bundle of sweaters

Wow it's fall

Cool out here in the west

Far from our cabin

We were on a road trip

Likely the last of the year

Almost time to make apple cider

We had several more stops

To get the selection of apples we wanted

Off to the drive to the farms

Happy Birthday Babe,

Charles.
