Poem for her 849

Dear Readers,

Spring Blooms

The winter months still here
The garden catalogs cover the deck
Over by the steps the table has trees
All the trees we want new this year
The little sticks lay in patterns
We built a small yard with plans
Plantings and blooms and things
Where the new rock garden might go
There might be a pond over here
Spring blooms in the color of her face
Glad plannings and happy smiles
Over there the new bulbs
Planted last fall, just now green
The ones in the catalogs saying pick me
We are going to stop for now
Have a card game
Sip some hot tea
Sample the cheese we got in the mail

Happy Birthday Babe,

Charles.
