Poem for her 917

 Blue Dice

They went in a set

Blue flowers on the front and back

Of a deck of cards

Then the D and D dice

4 sided up to a 25 sided odd one

Lots of spares 6 sided ones too

We loved to play cards

Some of our friends liked the other games

So we had a Blue set for each of us

She painted hers with small butterflies

So off to the spring dice games

Out in the flowers

Happy Birthday Babe,

Charles.

Poem for her 916

 Shower songs

Singing is what she likes to do

The Sunday shower was sudden

Rain pouring off the roof line

The porch slightly misty

The song was something new

We had heard it on the radio

Today I heard it fresh from her to me

The words sweet and clear

The beat nice too

Over there in the garden a much needed wetting

Over here on the porch a dance tune

Hand in hand sway to her singing

Happy Birthday Babe,

Charles.

Poem for her 915

 Painting Sheets

Tie dyes kinda

Mostly a wash paint

Or was it a stain

We had tried flowers

And leaves

And things soaked in water

Sheets that were once solid white

Now something different

We sometimes used them as table clothes

Out at the picnics

Other times just a wall hanging

Once someone wanted to buy one

We did sell them one

We made it fresh for them

Like sheets of paper just huge

Sun washed painted linens

Happy Birthday Babe,

Charles.
