Poem for her 848
Dear Readers,
Spring time cards
The flower sticks by rows of green
Cards dusted on the window sill
Thin strips of paper on the table
...making some art project
The deck of cards on the deck table
Notepad handy with etchings of figures
There is a spring time motif on a canvas
Bunch of envelopes with names on them
Cards we are making up for a town event
Thoughts of spring before this one
When mountains got dusted with snow
Leaves just now poking out
From branches still with white on them
Is it spring yet we wonder as the day gleams
Mint tea brews on the stove
Filling the air with spring
Even if the snows might drift back
Before the cards get sent
Happy Birthday Babe,
Charles.
