Poem for her 616

Dear Readers,

Cards

That one in the red envelope in a box
The deck of them on the table in a picture
The decks of them in a box on the mantle
The ones in the photos with hands near them
The two you drew in the blue notebook on video
They were a Queen and a King of hearts
You shaded in the hearts and we can hear the pen
There is that puzzle we made of a big photo
There are more cards in a scrap book too
Those decks from that winery we went too
The set of new cards unopened waiting in my pocket
The others I put in the picnic basket last night
Some cards on the front porch to be mailed
A card on your pillows with these words

Happy Birthday Babe,

Charles.

And another private poem.
