Poem for her 607

Dear Readers,

The long drive,

That week we planned the picnic trip
The week we planned to visit 5 wineries
Well that last one took 3 weeks and a lot of stops
But the picnic basket was with us and pillow too
There was the long trip to the west coast
The one to see yellowstone
The one to see washington apples
The one to just get back home
The drives were like bike rides
To go and to stay home the trip to and fro
The wander lust of going
The need to just stay and watch moss grow
So we did both once
We took the terrarium that had the moss in it
That sat in the back seat belted in
The day we planted it it was warm and humid
But once it snowed while out west
Up in the mountains cool down in the valley hot
There were long drives and times at home
Cuddled everywhere in your hands
Tugging on your belt loops
Seeing the sights in your eyes

Happy Birthday Babe,

Charles.
