Poem for her 127

Dear Readers,

Songs Sung

She sings to me at odd times
Not when I expect them in my voicemail
On my car radio just the tune
Her beside me the words outflow
Waking up to her singing there beside me
I come in from outside and then
Songs to me begin
Softly sung to the art project we are doing
Notes taken at the grocery store
In the car singing the music on the overhead
She likes to sing
Does it more and more
Waits to surprise me with the voice
Of tunes we both remember and
Ones I have never heard before
But want to hear more
Genres all over the spectrum of music
She'll put words to songs that have no words
She sings to me softly and my heart melts

Happy Birthday Babe,

Charles.
