Poem for her 126

Dear Readers,


Breakfast


She likes eggs
I like to cook eggs
I used the good omelette pan
I didn't make one of those though
I cooked an over easy egg
Put it on a toasted side of buttered english muffin
On top of that I put a slice of avocado
First time I ever did that
Was ages ago
Or just mere flashes of lightening ago
Some slice of time ago
Slice of avocado on egg on toast
She still likes it
She still thinks of it
From that first time
To today
Soon it will be
Breakfast time again
Wonder what new creation
I'll serve up to her
Besides a poem
