Poem for her 124

Dear Readers,

Girl with green glasses.

She sat there on her front porch
Looking at the books in the set

He'd just arrived and handed them to her
She was surprised he gave them to her

Her green glasses made everyone look odd
But she saw them as different shades

The boy would always be green like her
They liked the same books, proof in her hands

She wondered where he was just now
If she could ride her bike to his house

She'd see him again she was sure
He knew where she lived and had been there

Now to go read the books she had gotten
Such a nice story she'd have to tell Pillow.

Happy Birthday Babe,

Charles.
