Poem for her 123
Dear Readers,
Sunday Afternoon,
Actually started early in the morning
When he calmed her to sleep
Though she woke a time or two
He was there to sooth the aches
And off to sleep again she went
Then the morning breakfast
Then the getting the car filled
Then the drive, over noisy bumpy roads
Then the afternoon was there hanging in the rain
Sunday where was the Sun
Driving long hours counting off the mile markers
Telling each other stories of youth and drives
The trees on the roads on the way to
Where ever they were going this Sunday
Long trip lots of driving
Have an egg sandwich dear, some hot Tea
Long drives talking to each other near
Happy Birthday Babe,
Charles
