Poem for her 501

Dear Readers,

Red Stripes

Yes red seems that color that just has that look
On you it seems to take a life all it's own
The stripes the little two X and Two X there
The camera took a long look at them today
Noticed them that first day only when
There in the seat of the van I look and see
Them there on a new first gazed at them fresh
Yes the years have gone by and the poems too
The kisses from the lips the same soft touch
The ages of brand spanking new as doorway you pass
The brightness of the sun when we look out
The newness of the sky fresh after a shower
The soft touch all morning long oh so sweet
The fresh coffee smell and the eggs too
There you are back again at the notebook
The drawings many and sweet ink on paper
Look they have smiles and depth in the photo
The time says the line we both use

Happy Birthday Babe,

Charles.
