Poem for her 493

Dear Readers,

Summer snow

The snow is just melting and a heat wave is here
The winter clothes barely have time to shed
The weather has been odd this year like really odd
The days even but the weather odd like math odd
The nights filled with cuddles though are nice
The music on the stereo soothing and hot tea
Good all year long kissed with a mint julep
Eggs and bacon on some french toast in the morning
Then that long nap while thinking about the picnic
The snows gone for another year or just the week
Time to shop for a summer dress and sun shades
Or no shopping just hanging around the ice cooler
Looking at the chocolate while it sits chilling
There is the summer colors on the nails
And then the soft notes in the scrapbook
While walking along the creeks flowing again
No more summer snow till the winter leaves
Flowers in hand and drawings bare your hand prints

Happy Birthday Babe,

Charles.
