Poem for her 494

Dear Readers,

Cuddles on a swing

The summer rains are arriving early
The dusk later and later april turns to may
The warm cuddles cooled with a mint on ice
The swing drifts in the late evening breeze
The night sweeping in as the stars come out
The day drifts by one more round
Your hands in mine and we talk just a bit
The day's events sliding past us
As your head tends to rest on my shoulder
We drift asleep just as the moon rises
The night birds wake us as we need to move
Inside to the cabin's comfy bed
To cuddle the night away
Kissing the dawn closer and closer
Till morning coffee is only a thought
As the rains wander off and the night just us

Happy Birthday Babe,

Charles.
