Poem for her 629
Dear Readers,
Cloud tasting
Snow hitting the front porch steps cold
The white white of the clouds
The taste of your belly button today
That helping spoonful of cloud
I put right there on your tummy
I said I wanted a good taste of sunshine
But I wanted a bit of cloud too
So there I took the spoon and
Spooned in the cloud
There on the canvas
The odd chance of phrase
The turn of your side
The dance in the fresh snow on my toes
Your giggle as I took photos
Then your giggles too
As I licked your cloud filled belly button
The day being happy
A monday in winter
A monday in August
Any day with you
Happy Birthday Babe,
Charles.
Cloud tasting
Snow hitting the front porch steps cold
The white white of the clouds
The taste of your belly button today
That helping spoonful of cloud
I put right there on your tummy
I said I wanted a good taste of sunshine
But I wanted a bit of cloud too
So there I took the spoon and
Spooned in the cloud
There on the canvas
The odd chance of phrase
The turn of your side
The dance in the fresh snow on my toes
Your giggle as I took photos
Then your giggles too
As I licked your cloud filled belly button
The day being happy
A monday in winter
A monday in August
Any day with you
Happy Birthday Babe,
Charles.
