Poem to her 627

Dear Readers,

The cabin meal

The rounds of crackers many a kind
There was the peanut butter 3 kind on table
The regular, the sweet vanilla, the heady chocolate
The other bits of things pate, foie-gras of duck
Eggs of fish and some sliced things too
Avocado, Orange, apple, honeydew, tart something
There that night the kisses of ever
The soothing feel of feeding each other
The parts and laughs the memory lane visits
There the plans many and talking few which
Layer to have next which would taste best
Then check it twice if we thought we liked it
Taking notes on a pad, just to help trace
The tent of fabric that we'd use to take
On the future picnic planned on this one
Designed to have as much variety as possible.
Then after the meal and clean up
Long touching Night filled with slow sounds
Of sleep and flowers and sweet nothings and somethings
Flicking on and off in the sock drawers

Happy Birthday Babe,

Charles.
