Poem for her 628

Dear Readers,

Desert climes and story chimes

The isle where she mines the odds and ends in the game
The beach setting in the photo spread of land to buy
The woods are warm this year round and now we wander
The city house able to chill the hot winds
The cabin in the woods filled with many projects
The time never seeming enough once we start one
Then just to chill in the laid back woods on a hill
There the winter snows soft but not to deep
There the winds blow salt air up hi and not hot
The beach sounds like a desert but not waterless
There the soft sounds of her moving next to me
The sand under feet and the rising sun and setting
Seen from the same beach wave tops that face north
Rising and then not hot during the day at zenith
Setting and not hot as it sinks into the sea
Shifting sands on a dune but not so hot
We can walk out and be in shade and enjoy the day
We can stay in and write love sonnets

Happy Birthday Babe,

Charles.
