Poem for her 486
Dear Readers,
Summer and winter and you
The weather was odd that 2nd year
The winter hung on longer than lichen
The likes of which we were just seeing
The summer was here one day then gone
The cold snap in and out of the place
Then the day you got that chocolate raisin
Then the weather was odd still but
The kisses lasted a bit longer than
The dancing and the hugging and
The shirt you wore that day was great
The winter sun peeking out and the
Flowers telling you hey babe
The cards on the table said Hey babe
And I said
Happy Birthday Babe,
Charles.
