Poem for her 479

Dear Readers,

While we slept

The world turned round and round
The heat outside our window went up
The sound of your slumber comfort
The sound of your sighs comfort
The sound of the day slumber and light
Summer rolled in down south
Spring still budding out up north
The snows of the seasons still there
Outside our window the world went round
The bed sheets over your hips
The soft sound of my voice you hear
The soothing poems many and slow
The sound of your slumber comfort
The clock read a bit more than an hour
The world slid by and we dreamed
The dreams many of things cool
Belt loops pulled and kisses long
The days filled with you and me full
The sounds of the waking joyous
We kiss and snuggle and then

Happy Birthday Babe,

Charles.
