Poem for her 478

Dear Readers,

Coconut and Grape

The recipe was new but untried
We had to taste test it but hadn't
The mixture was going to be odd
We knew that, but what would it be like
We still aren't sure as we haven't yet
Tried it in the fullness of the glass
While we talked about the recipe, a kiss
Then that led to a few dance steps
Over here to the table and then
We sat down and had that other talk
About how your shoulders felt
Under my finger tips and the sweater
The sweater left the shoulders
The shoulders had some straps
Those slunk down and the kiss
The night was just us and the fire
Lit not in the grate over in the wall
But tingling here on chairs by the table
Then the couch for more comfy
Then well then things happened
And after that the dawn rose up
The morning is bright and your lips
Again are prefect as you are

Happy Birthday Babe,

Charles.
