Poem for her 387

Dear Readers,

The fire

The Oven outside was a rock and fire brick affair
The Fireplaces in the cabin about the same
The Fire in your eyes was always there
In slumber you body heats up and I am warmed
In summer the fan over head cools us at night
The days have chills but the nights fire
The trips of the season put us on the road
While driving we take turns stopping often
Little country diners alone the way no fast food
Parks too for picnics when not so cold
The nights longer still as the fire kindles
Slumber sweet with you near dreams soft touches
And when I wake The Fire in your eyes

Happy Birthday Babe,

Charles.
