Poem for her 473

Dear Readers,

Thumb soaks

The thumb hurt from that tussle it had
The jar didn't open and the thumb tired
The thumb was feeling poorly now and cried
The other hands felt sad and took thumb aside
And got the hot water going and epsom salts
Got a hot tea too a big dollop of rum
Then the hands took the thumb off to soak
They helped the unhurt thumb too by holding
There was a bit of soft whispering going on
The as the warm towel was applied a bit of kiss
The hurt thumb was taken care of day and night
Held softly and warm bathed and cared for
Then one day the hurt woke up all gone
The days were still just as careful to keep
The thumps all joined in a game of cards
Then the hot tea with dollop of that shot glass
There was a small dance step or three
There was a long night held closely sweet

Happy Birthday Babe,

Charles.
