Poem for her 465
Dear Readers,
Piece of Pie
The pizza arrived at our table
We were there in town tonight
I was having a bit of salad
You wanted the romaine and tomato
The day was that special one
The number meaning a bit of math
The day outside was cool and bright
Time change making it light
The half of pie was cheesy and full
The other half was thin crust
And lots of things and meats
The people around us many
The area we sat though quiet
We could of done this at home
But we needed the outing
The cabin was warm for us
Waiting in the woods for our return
The day was early spring and
It was not the end of week
I held your hand and said
Happy Birthday Babe,
Charles.
