Poem for her 332
Dear Readers,
Fall in the Air,
Wishing to fall into her arms on the bed
Wishing to fall into a bed of leaves
Wishing to sit on a porch with her
Seeing her in the light of fall in the window
Have the toast ready for the Mei Fun
Watching her with the fork and the smile
Standing in the back yard filming her walking
Seeing her skirts in the closet
Picking one for the day
Singing being heard from the kitchen
As I set the table
Singing being heard from the Porch
As I bring the Mint tea out to her
Handing her a bag of Chocolate Covered raisins
Watching her laugh at the sights of the yard
Leaves making patterns on the White Cloth
Put out just for that bit of natural staining
To use later as an art project
Things we do on odd picnics into the places we go
Sounds of the geese flying over head
Longer nights to cuddle and rest a bit more
Long showers to watch the lightening flash
Kisses her nose and toes and says
Happy Birthday Babe,
Charles.
