Poem for her 787

Dear Readers,

Muddy Mondays

Thank God for showers
The one in the house
The one on the side of the shed
Where we wash off the mud
Into a rock bed feeding some plants
Those days when mud isn't all
Tired days when a long shower soothes
When the bench in there makes them longer
Sitting when the legs need rest
Yet you want a long shower
So down the bench goes and wow rain
Warm and hot rain the shower goes
Days when the weekend was full of things
Illness or just the muddy feelings need showers
Those warmed by the sun or the heater
The fireplace makes the room warmer
The blower taking the hearth heat to us
The days could extend into the tuesdays too
So we get the terry cloth robes warm
The warm towels too
Off to a nice long shower

Happy Birthday Babe,

Charles.
