Poem for her 539

Dear Readers,

The Drive

That day we went on the drive
You showed me the sights of town
Then the drive ended and time passed
The car ride was on a road I knew
The sights places I knew
The next trip was places we didn't know
There were trees and rocks and things
Creeks and bends and sky and stars
There were things near and far
Though the days were the same
You and me
The places over there yonder far
The sights over here close
We went a lot of miles
These things we'd call
The drive
The trips down this lane and that
The places where a park bench sat
Places to hold your hand
Places to get a kiss
Places to cuddle on a swing

Happy Birthday Babe,

Charles.
