Poem for her 443

Dear Readers,

999 songs on the wall

The walls were covered with shelves of CDs
My dad was showing you them all
The two of you were talking music and songs
At times you'd break into a bit of singing
Then he wanted to play music for you
The day was filled with you and him talking
I stood there taking video and voice recordings
The night was filled with dinner and more talking
The popcorn and card game lasted til late
I slipped a hand over your shoulder and
The night cuddled softly into the wee hours
The first day at the city house a long memory
Scrapbooked and kept for ages later
The songs you like now expanded a bit more
The sounds of music a bit more filled
The songs still on the walls more music to hear

Happy Birthday Babe,

Charles.
