Poem for her 442

Dear Readers,

Humming

There you were stereo louder than winter
Spring trying to bud out telling you, Sing
And you did and the cabin rejoiced
The ankles tapping out the beats of the music
The songs, things you introduced to me
Toes stirring the dance up and us too
As the night runs on into the brisk dawn
The stereo silent but you are humming
The sounds of coffee and eggs and you
Making the morning brighter than the rain clouds
I tell you the plans of the day
Nothing but you and me and some seed packets
And a bit of drawing paper and plans
But no rush, the spring rains aren't done yet
I hand you a stack of cd's and say
Crank it up

Happy Birthday Babe,

Charles.
