Poem for her 439

Dear Readers,

Snow ankles

The warm wash clothe touched your ankles
You giggle as you read these lines
Then you remember the feel of the clothe
The knowledge of the night when we said
Hey let's go make that snowman
Outside the front porch in the new snow
Over there by the peach tree bare
The sounds of laughter and snow falling
The night after snug in bed comfy
The cold outside, knowing summer was yesterday
But today winter was back with snow and
That warm wash clothe touching your ankles
Then a kiss on the bare toes
The new nail polish that light green
We picked it for spring and mint leaves
The kissed toes just the same, polish or not
The giggles the same as the first time I said

Happy Birthday Babe,

Charles.
