Poem for her 775

Dear Readers,

Chocolate Mint

Grown out back under the trees
Grown over by the edge of the walk
Grown in town and by cabin
There in a steamy Mug hot
There at your lips warm
Flowing down the glass cold
The early spring and mid summer
The smell mixed with others
Cookies on the counter top
Some you made
Some I made
They all get a kiss from us
The gentle day flows toward evening
Trying to get your cold gone
There the neck rub steady
The soft flow of music
Mint tea hot in your mug
Close at hand
There the bit of graham cracker
Butter topped on a plate
The day drifts to a close
Soft kiss on nose
Night kisses till dawn

Happy Birthday Babe,

Charles.
