Poem for her 516

Dear Readers,

Nap

The day was long and had that summer feel
The day was long and as you took shoes off
The feel of the freedom said one thing
Nap time and you headed to the couch
The couch we picked out from that store
The one we both agreed on as being comfy
We tried it over several days different times
The comfy was still there and as we saved
The couch fit well in the cabin right there
There you were when I brought you tea
The home made nachos and the tray to use
There you were after the meal and resting
Your head on my shoulder and my smile
Was just drifting into sleep today
The nap in the early afternoon summer
The days getting longer and the dew early
The couch and the napping blonde tabby
Curled into my shoulder there in a nap

Happy Birthday Babe,

Charles.
