Poem for her 165

Dear Readers,

Dancing in the Afternoon

She was wearing those shoes
I was holding her hands
We held out our arms, and swayed
To just the sound of the room
She smiled, came in close for a kiss
We danced a bit more
Not many twirls just yet
Those would be later
Her dress was light in the sunshine
Her smile makes my day brighter
Her hands fit in mine
Breakfast is several hours away
But we talk about it
Plan the next day
Lazy with drawings and tea
Dancing today in the sunshine
Window still bright
Her resting in my arms
Sleeping at my touch

Happy Birthday Babe,

Charles.
