Poem for her 859

Dear Readers,

I had a great day

The spring was flowing downhill
It was actually gushing this morning
We looked at the flow pondering
Must be having a great day
I said
She laughed
We looked at each other for a bit
Saying things with our eyes

The spring was gushing still
The clouds were saying snow
The evening was brisk
Chilled air off the water
Seemed cooler today
I pondered the meaning of it
Fresh water pressure down range
We'd have full cisterns soon
Even the extra ones

The snow was all over the garden
The birds just looking down at it
Not wanting to move
We put out seeds
The tracks to and fore fresh
The Spring was calmer now
Ice at the edges of the stream
The Rocks had little signs
We'd painted them year ago
Still fresh looking near white

Red goes the flowers in a row
Yellow is for daisies
Blue for your eyes my sweet
Green is the garden moss

Signs like that
Yet some private notes too
Like this one
Thanks for wearing Red
It made my day

Happy Birthday Babe,

Charles.
