Poem for her 857

Dear Readers,

Space Ships

The designs were from early years
Hers were of things his were of others
They both loved to draw
They both had designs
Early on they learned of each other
Early being in the mid 50's
Those years seemed distant now
She wanted this car or that dream
He wanted space ships that were cars
Or rather cars that were space ships
Now their cabin in the woods had them both
Cars and space ships
They moved space and time
Decks of cards flowed out of ponds
Stacks of odds and ends and then the whoosh
The sound of a space ship going off
The car started
Off they drove

Happy Birthday Babe,

Charles.
