Poem for her 733

Dear Readers,

The porch swings

The city one sits outside under sky
The porch a set of blocks in the yard
The one on the cabin sits near the side
Up under the roof where snow can fall
There is one in the gazebo out yonder
That was added when we got a deal on wood
That we wanted to make an artist nook
Out there in the yard full of nuts and fruits
Plantings that make the swings cool
Porches feel the swings in spring
We swing whenever we are near one
The days float by slowly
Swing by swing
String pluck by soft feather fall
The flowers flow into petals falling
The snow covers the one in the city
Drifts past the screens out at the cabin
Soft feelings when looking at them
The snow flakes just so on the ground
There in your mitten soft
Swing with me babe all year long

Happy Birthday Babe,

Charles.
