Poem for her 732

Dear Readers,

The car

The toyota was running slower
The ford was running slower
The new car was on a car lot
Twisting in the wind was a flag
Seen from afar it looked like one thing
Up close it was a big dragon
Over there was a sign
Half off the whole lot
I wondered which half we'd be buying
You liked the one with red in the paint
Then we both liked the off green one
Not sure which we got though
I turned over and woke up
There you were warm and soft and awake
The night faded some dreams dripping away
The soft cuddling and night sounds
There in the cabin in the woods
There the winter days chilled
There in our bedroom
The two vehicles outside purred awake
Gasping that they were running fast
Running fast no need for a replacement
The walls of the cabin calmed them with a whisper
The two of us excited by being together sighed

Happy Birthday Babe,

Charles.
