Poem for her 717

Dear Readers,

The bowl of food

There sat on the table a bowl
The blindfold came off
You saw the dishes
The lid came off
The noodles just so
The bits of veggies
The tiny shrimp
The mei fun dish new
Or rather old
Just new to the cabin
Fresh made
It was ages ago
The pictures of the event
Here in the scrapbook set out
The smiles on our faces
The fork in hand
One fork
Like today
New store in town
They stocked the noodles
For us
For others too
New supplier now
All those years ago
Boxed in from the city house
Night of the eggs and noodles
And new photos of us smiling

Happy Birthday Babe,

Charles.
